The Index reflects the performance of a virtual investment managed on the basis of a Strategy. This Strategy is determined by the Index Sponsor and the Index Sponsor is solely responsible for it. The Index Calculation Agent neither advises nor assists the Index Sponsor in connection with the preparation or implementation of the Strategy. The Strategy of the Index Sponsor is to select shares of companies that have been qualified as family influenced businesses by Vontobel Wealth Management. The Index Sponsor defines family influenced businesses as companies in which the founding families hold between 15% and 35% of the voting rights. In the opinion of the Index Sponsor, this is sufficient to influence the business orientation and long-term strategy while being controlled by an independent body. A minority of Index components (less than 10% of the total weighting) may be outside these rules. The aim of the Strategy of the Index Sponsor is to achieve long-term capital growth. In addition, the Strategy is managed without reference to a benchmark, as there is no comparable one.
